Ian Norris has a growing reputation for emotionally charged landscapes and seascapes. He is inspired by our region’s coastlines and natural landscapes which encapsulate his passion for capturing scenes and his fascination for light and space.
Ian initially established a reputation for painting loose watercolours, mainly urban landscapes.
Following on from this success and keen to develop is skills further he undertook a City and Guilds in Life drawing followed by a Fine Art Degree at Blackburn College of Art; where he developed his fascination for painting in oils
In 2010 Ian was elected as a member of the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts and then, in 2011, was awarded a first class honours degree in fine art.
